Mac Tip: Clean Applications cache (clean ‘open with’ dialogs)

From terminal type: /System/Library/Frameworks/CoreServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServices.framework/Support/lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

Note: best to disable Spotlight searching into other drives (other Mac installations), delete monitored folders in the Privacy Tab.
